Cannabiz Credit Association (CCA) has been named a finalist in the 2026 MJBizCon Innovation Awards for CCA – Cannabis Credit Reporting. The company is one of two finalists listed in the Business Services Imagination Award category.
About the recognition
The MJBizCon Innovation Awards recognize exhibitor products, technologies, and services that are delivering practical progress across the cannabis industry. The Business Services Imagination Award specifically celebrates companies whose tools help cannabis businesses operate more efficiently, remain compliant, and scale.
Finalists were evaluated through a process involving MJBizCon and MJBizDaily staff followed by members of the MJBizCon Advisory Councils. Being selected places CCA alongside organizations demonstrating real-world execution and measurable value for the industry.
Why CCA was recognized
CCA was built to address a fundamental challenge in cannabis commerce: conventional credit tools often do not provide enough industry-specific information for businesses deciding whether to extend trade credit. CCA gives suppliers, operators, lenders, and other industry participants access to verified payment behavior and accounts-receivable intelligence before they ship products or approve payment terms.
Members contribute accounts-receivable information each month. CCA standardizes and audits those submissions, then uses the combined history to support company credit reports, risk ratings, monitoring, and alerts. Reports can show payment ratings, average days past due, on-time payment reliability, reported trade lines, collection activity, current risk level, and changes in payment trends.
Building confidence in cannabis commerce
These insights help businesses evaluate prospective customers, monitor existing accounts, identify deteriorating payment behavior, and make credit decisions using evidence rather than guesswork. By making payment performance more transparent, CCA aims to reduce avoidable losses while supporting stronger and more sustainable commercial relationships across the cannabis industry.
This finalist recognition reflects the work of CCA’s members, partners, and team, whose participation continues to strengthen the industry’s shared credit-data network.
